Avail: New AI Submission Summarization Tool

New AI tool, Avail, is designed to streamline Hollywood's script and book review process, offering detailed summaries and real-time interactive insights.

Avail, a tool that integrates artificial intelligence (AI) to summarize script and intellectual property submissions, announced its open beta launch. Co-founded by Chris Giliberti and John Liu, Avail introduces AI-summarization tools aimed at making Hollywood’s pre-production, development, and review process more efficient and accessible, particularly in managing the influx of scripts and books.

Avail's main offering is designed to cater to the fast-paced and volume-heavy nature of Hollywood submissions. It promises to deliver concise and clear summaries of scripts and books, regardless of length, providing detailed summaries, character breakdowns, and tonal assessments quickly. An innovative feature of Avail is its interactive component, where users can engage in real-time conversations with the AI about the script or book, allowing for deeper insights. Avail also promises that any submissions uploaded for summary will not be used in model training, respecting copyright concerns.

Chris Giliberti, Co-Founder and CEO of Avail, shared his enthusiasm for the new platform, reflecting on the challenges he faced in keeping up with the vast number of submissions in his previous executive roles. Avail, according to Giliberti, is designed to ensure that every submission gets the attention it deserves, helping to identify and promote new talent and ideas in the industry.

Alexis Ohanian, founder of Seven Seven Six, has praised Avail, noting its unique position in the AI-powered application landscape. He commended the team for combining Giliberti's experience in production with Liu's technological expertise, a combination that he believes is key to developing a tool that can help Hollywood's creators.

Avail is already in use at several major studios and talent agencies, indicating a growing interest in its potential. The platform's development team, consisting of former Google and Amazon employees, is continuously working on new products, including custom models and collaborative projects with industry leaders such as Range Media Partners.

Avail’s introduction offers a new approach to managing and developing IP in Hollywood, making the process more accessible and streamlined, yet the effectiveness and potential larger influence in the industry remain to be seen. The platform is supported by notable names in Silicon Valley and Hollywood, including Seven Seven Six, General Catalyst, Advancit Capital, and Liontree.More information can be found on its website https://www.itsavail.com.
